NEWS: 3 New Additions to the Geo Team!

GeoStructures is pleased to announce three new additions to the Geo family!

Rickard

Jeff Rickard, PE joined GeoStructures as a Design-Build Sales Engineer.  His primary role is to work with engineers, owners, and general contractors in the Mid-Atlantic Region to develop innovative Design-Build solutions through the use of ground improvement and earth structures technologies on residential, commercial and transportation infrastructure projects.   Before joining GeoStructures, Jeff worked as a Construction Executive for the Department of State, Wiles Mensch Corporation as a Sr. Project Manager, and as a Regional Manager for Contech Bridge Solutions.  He obtained a degree in Civil Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute and has resided in the Northern Virginia area for over 25 years, working mostly in the land development engineering community.   When away from work he enjoys golfing and fishing.

 

Salinas

Juan Salinas, EIT joined GeoStructures as a Design Engineer.  He is responsible for supporting GeoStructures’ customers by reviewing preliminary designs and preparing final engineering designs for the construction of ground improvement technology.  Before joining GeoStructures, Juan worked in consulting for three years at Geo-Technology Associates.  He obtained his BS degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2012.  Juan is originally from Bolivia and enjoys playing ultimate Frisbee and kayaking in his spare time.

 

Kanewske

Curtis Kanewske, EIT joined GeoConstructors (GeoStructures sister company) as an Assistant Project Manager. He is responsible for supporting GeoConstructors’ customers in developing project cost estimates, schedules, daily field progress, and quality control.  Prior to joining GeoConstructors, Curtis interned with Hillis-Carnes Engineering as an Engineering Technician and upon graduation worked at Triad Engineering as a Staff Engineer performing geotechnical investigations and monitoring field construction.  He received his BS degree in Geotechnical and Environmental Engineering from Virginia Tech in May 2014, and during his free time enjoys playing sports and backpacking.
